I'm no fan of chickens. They stink, they're stupid and while the butchering of any animal can't be called fun, chicken butchery is on a level with inner city free clinic work. However, until I figure out how to get my rabbits to lay eggs I'll have chickens. That being the case I was determined to have the best small holder chickens I could find, no battery born monstrosities for me. I was only interested in meat quality and mothering ability.

 In keeping with Phelonius's lead of posting short stories to the site I have retrieved a story of mine and posted it as well. If you've not seen it before feel free to take a look Here and give me your thoughts.
