The

has brought a new study to our attention here at Sciolist Salmagundi. It
reflects our own unpublished study (even though our manager, Sal, showed up at
the publishing house with a can of gasoline and threatened to “burn this damned
place to the ground”) called “Idiots and Why Red light Cameras are the Spawn of
Satan.”

The Governator Loses His Robotic Mind
Submitted by Phelonius on Thu, 10/18/2007 - 00:53.I have seen this news spot in several places, but today I am going to use an article written by our friends at NCSNEWS.com. The Governator of Cal-I-For-Ni-A, “Arnie the Arms” Schwarzenegger, has lost his bearings on reality once again. This so-called Republican has signed into law several requirements for public schools that would be considered a hoax if it did not come from the left coast.
They are being called the “sexual indoctrination” bills, and they have prompted several groups into calling for all religious-minded people to pull their kids out of school and find private schools or to home school their kids. I can hardly blame them.
For example: this law now defines gender as anything that anybody basically wants to be:
A Case in Point
Submitted by Phelonius on Sun, 10/14/2007 - 01:16.Update: I found this little tid-bit and thought that it may prove interesting. Apparently the are people in the UK that are getting tired of excessive regulation as well.
As the US moves towards higher taxes, socialized medicine, and more government growth, there has been a lot of rhetorical blood spilled over how much better life has been in the socialized countries in Europe. Critics of free-market solutions to questions about everything from health care to badly designed bridges maintain that the only solution is for Uncle Sugar to step in and take over. They point out that life expectancy is greater in Western Europe and that a Nanny State is generally safer than life here in the good old US of A. But what is the overall cost? A recent article in the Daily Mail points out that in Britain, perhaps “the” Nanny State of all Nanny States, at least 1/3 of all British inhabitants are dreaming of moving out of that country.
But, you intelligent readers may ask, why would anyone want to leave a society that is so perfectly controlled by their government?
